Support

Questions, problems, bug reports, account requests, and anything else about NutHub go to one place, and a person reads it.

support@nuthub.app

We reply within a few business days, usually sooner. If your message is about a bug, telling us your device, your iOS version, and what you were doing when it happened gets you a faster answer.

One thing worth knowing before you write: because your content is end-to-end encrypted with a key we never receive, we cannot see what is in your account. We can see that an encrypted record exists, when it changed, and how large it is. We cannot see what it says. If you describe a problem with a specific entry, we will tell you that plainly rather than pretend to look into it.

Common questions

I forgot my password. Can you reset it?

You can get back in with the one-time recovery code shown to you when you set up your account. That is what it is for, and it is the only route back in.

If you have lost both your password and your recovery code, your content is unrecoverable — not difficult to recover, not recoverable through an appeal or an identity check or an escalation to us. Nobody can restore it: not Post Clarity, not Apple, not our hosting providers, because none of them holds the key. This is the direct cost of the architecture that keeps your content private from us, and we would rather state it plainly than let you find it out at the worst possible moment. Keep your recovery code somewhere that is not the phone the App is installed on.

How do I delete my account, and what does that actually remove?

In the App: Settings → Security → Delete Account. You do not need to email us and you do not need to ask permission.

Deleting removes your account, your encrypted records, and your stored encrypted files, and cascades to the data associated with them. Once it is gone, nobody can recover it, including us. Residual copies may persist in routine backups for a short period before being overwritten; those copies remain encrypted and unreadable. We may keep limited records where the law requires it — for example, tax or fraud-prevention records — as described in the Privacy Policy.

Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription, because billing is handled by Apple. Cancel that in your device's App Store account settings.

Is my data really unreadable to you?

Yes, and it is a property of how the App is built rather than a policy we have adopted. Your content is encrypted on your device before it is uploaded, with a key derived from your password and held on your device. Our servers receive ciphertext, store ciphertext, and return ciphertext. Decryption happens on your device, in memory, after download.

That holds in the cases where privacy promises usually turn out to be conditional. We cannot read your content to help with a support request, we cannot scan or moderate it, we cannot produce it in response to a legal demand — what we can produce is the limited account metadata described in the Privacy Policy — and we cannot use it to train anything. There is no administrative override and no support key.

How do I export my data?

You export from inside the App, where your content is decrypted for you. That is the only place a readable copy of it exists. We cannot generate an export for you from our side, because we would have to be able to read it first.

For the small amount of information we can see — your account email, subscription status, and operational metadata — email support@nuthub.app and we will provide it.

Which permissions does the App ask for, and why?

Each one is optional, is requested only when you use the feature that needs it, and can be revoked at any time in your device's Settings.

Permission What it is for
LocationCentring the map and sorting your roster by distance. Used on-device; your location is not stored on our servers.
Face ID / Touch IDUnlocking the App. The match happens in Apple's Secure Enclave; we never receive biometric data. Your PIN always works too.
ContactsImporting people into your roster. Only the entries you tick are imported, parsed on your device, and nothing is uploaded.
CalendarAdding a date you have planned. Access is write-only — the App cannot read your calendar at all.
Photos and cameraAttaching a photo. Only the items you pick are used, and they are encrypted on your device before upload.
Microphone and speech recognitionDictating entries instead of typing. Transcription happens on your device.

Something about billing or a refund

Subscriptions are sold through Apple's In-App Purchase, so Apple handles the money. Manage or cancel in your App Store account settings, and request refunds from Apple — we do not process payments and generally cannot issue refunds directly. If Apple sends you back to us, write to support@nuthub.app and we will help however we can.

I am on the waitlist and want off it

Email support@nuthub.app and we will delete your entry. The waitlist is only ever used to send one message when the App launches on the platform you picked — there is no mailing list to unsubscribe from.
